WHAT IS A MADDY DOLL?
I designed a full amigurumi doll in early 2021, and had such a positive response from my followers, I just had to make a few more. Our little girl, Madison has always been an inspiration for my designs and as she gets older she takes more and more interest in my work. She enjoys helping me to pick the colours I use, and loves to make a drawing of how the doll will look, so when choosing a name for my amigurumi doll range of crochet patterns, I just had to call them after her.
WHAT IS AMIGURUMI?
Essentially the same as crochet but refers to the process of making 3D toys. It involves working in the round, making spheres which are then stuffed to form the head, body and limbs of adorable little animals and dolls.
WHAT YOU WILL CROCHET
A 3D doll or animal with a stuffed head, body and limbs. The body is crocheted in one piece and then the head is attached, the elbows, knees and legs bend.
CROCHET SKILL
Easy to adventurous beginner. The pattern has helpful hints along the way which are highlighted in purple.
