About me

Ravelry

This is me!

Join me in my crochet journey.

I am a crochet designer, yarn snob, coffee, red wine & chocolate addict, lady boss, wife, sister, daughter, mom to four and I paint with yarn and a hook.

And I crochet…did I mention that LOL.

Ok, so if I am being honest, I crochet a lot.

I have not been crocheting for long, but the first time I picked up a hook, some yarn, and a pattern to make a baby blanket for charity, I was, as they say, hooked.

When my little girl told me that she felt snuggled in my love when lying under one of the blankets I crocheted for her, it occurred to me that she was right.

When we make something for someone else, we spend lots of time thinking about that person, and we pour our love, passion and creativity into the item.

My inspiration.

Many, many years ago I studied Fine Art at Stellenbosh University in Cape Town, and between being a working mom to four, as well as getting a degree in Risk Management, I did not have time to paint, unless you count painting cute wall murals in the nurseries LOL.

As you know creative people need to have time to be creative.  Crocheting is my passion, and is like painting with yarn”. I love to play with patterns and colours, and create something unique and beautiful for people I love, and I am sure you do too.

My patterns are easy to read, with loads of clear photo tutorials to help even the most inexperienced crafter.

From patterns to inspiration, I hope that my blog will help you find something to get those creative vibes moving, and turning your dreams into reality.  I hope that you enjoy the patterns I have released as much as I enjoyed writing them.

You will find easy to read patterns, with photo tutorials and pattern support, loads of inspiration, stitch tutorials, and LOADS of enthusiasm.  Please feel free to ask me any questions and I will do my best to answer you.

If you can’t find what you are looking for, contact me and I will do my best to help you make your dreams come true!

In the mean time,

“share the art within you with the ones you love”
