Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), *[popcorn, ch 2, popcorn] into ch 2, ch 1, **sk next 2 sts, V st into next st** rep **.** 54 more times, sk next st, ch 1* rep *.* 3 more times , ss into 1st st, ss until ch 2 corner (2 ch 1, 55 V sts per side)(popcorn, ch 2, popcorn per corner), DO NOT cut yarn.

Helpful hint: refer to the stitch abbreviations in the pattern preamble if you do not know how to make to make a picot stitch.

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), *[sc, picot, sc] into ch 2, sk next st, sc into next 2 sts **sc into next st, picot, sc into next 2 sts** rep **.** 59 more times, sk next st* rep *.* 3 more times, ss into 1st st (185 sc, 61 picot per side)(sc, picot, sc per corner), cut yarn and weave in end.

Total stitch count: 700 (excluding chains)

Give your blanket a gentle block to make sure it is nice and square.
