WHAT YOU WILL CROCHET

  • A baby blanket designed with solid granny square centre bordered by easy repeats.  A unicorn applique has been stitched onto the centre square.

FINISHED SIZE

  • My blanket is 117 x 117 cm (46 x 46 inches) from edge of border to edge of border.

CROCHET SKILL

  • Adventurous beginner/intermediate crocheter.

TERMINOLOGY

  • US with metric sizes.

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 3.5 mm hook.
  • Sewing needle and Scissors.
  • Stitch markers.
  • Pins.
  • DK/Light Worsted yarn – total yarn required 1400g/3024m/3304y/49oz.

YARN 

  • Madison – DK/Light Worsted 50% cotton/50% bamboo viscose (50g = 108m/118yd/1.75oz).
  • I used 28 x 50g Madison DK/Light Worsted 50% cotton/50% bamboo (50g/108m/118yd/1.75oz).
    • 2 x Purple Hydrangea, 2 x Tanzanite, 2 x Periwinkle, 2 x Forget-me-not, 2 x Honeydew Melon, 2 x Daffodil, 3 x Apricot, 3 x Cherry Blossom, 3 x Sweet Pea, 7 x Porcelain
