BACK PAWS
Make two. Using colour (PRINCESS BLUE GREY) yarn, make a magic circle.
Helpful hint: we are working in rounds.
Round 1
Ch 1 (does not count as st), sc 8 into mc, place st marker in 8th sc and continue to work in the round (8 sc).
Helpful hint: move the stitch marker (or use a running marker) and place in the last stitch of each round; this will help keep your stitch count correct and help with round counting. Because we are working quite tightly in the round, I weave my beginning tail in whilst working round 2.
Round 2
*Sc 2 into next st*, rep *.* 7 more times (16 sc).
Round 3
*Sc 2 into next st, sc into next st*, rep *.* 7 more times (24 sc).
Round 4
*Sc 2 into next st, sc into next 2 sts*, rep *.* 7 more times (32 sc).
Round 5
Sc into next 15 sts, sc 2 into next 2 sts, sc into next 15 sts (34 sc).
Round 6
Sc into next 16 sts, sc 2 into next 2 sts, sc into next 16 sts (36 sc).

Round 9
Sc into next 19 sts, sc 2 into next 2 sts, sc into next 19 sts (42 sc).
Rounds 10 – 13
Sc into next 42 sts (42 sc).
Round 14
Sc into next 13 sts, *inv sc into next 2 sts*, rep *.* 7 more times, sc into next 13 sts (34 sc).
Round 15
Sc into next 9 sts, *inv sc into next 2 sts*, rep *.* 7 more times, sc into next 9 sts (26 sc).
Round 16
Sc into next 7 sts, *inv sc2tog*, rep *.* 5 more times, sc into next 7 sts (20 sc).
Rounds 17 – 23
Sc into next 20 sts (20 sc).
Helpful hint: stuff the foot until firm, be careful not to overstuff. It is easier to stuff the legs as you go along rather than to try to get it done when you are finished.
Rounds 24 – 46
Sc into next 20 sts (20 sc). At the end of round 46 cut yarn leaving a 15 cm tail and use the needle join technique to finish off the round, then carefully weave the end into the inside of the leg.
Helpful hint: stuff the leg until firm, be careful not to overstuff. We will attach the legs to the body in Part 4.
CARROT
Make one. Using colour (ORANGE) yarn, make a magic circle.
Helpful hint: we are working in rounds.
Round 1 – bottom of carrot
Ch 1 (does not count as a st), sc 4 into mc, place st marker in 6th sc and continue to work in the round (4 sc).
Helpful hint: move the stitch marker (or use a running marker) and place in the last stitch of each round; this will help keep your stitch count correct and help with round counting. Because we are working quite tightly in the round, I weave my beginning tail in whilst working round 2.
Round 2
Sc into next 4 sts (4 sc).

Helpful hint: this is the top of the carrot.
LEAVES
Make one. Using colour (FERN) yarn, chain 20.
Leaf 1
Sc 2 into 2nd ch from hook, sc 2 into next 8 chs, ss into next 4 chs (4 ss, 18 sc).
