PATTERN – BONNIE & CLYDE HORSE PART 5

BUTTONS – BOTH

Make two, using colour (E) yarn make a mc.

Round 1

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 8 hdc into mc, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, leaving long tail to use to stitch to the dungarees in Part 6 (8 hdc).

Helpful hint: we will be adding the buttons to the front of the girl’s dungarees and to the back of the boy’s dungarees in Part 6.

FLOWERS – CHESTNUT/BONNIE/GIRL

Make two, using colour (E) yarn make a mc.

Round 1

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 9 hdc into mc, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, weave in ends (9 hdc).

Helpful hint: change to colour (H) yarn.

Round 2

Join new yarn in any hdc, [ss, ch 2, dc, ch 2, ss] into 1st hdc, rep *.* 8 more times (9 petals), cut yarn leaving a tail to use to attach to the head of the girl in Part 6.

SHEEP MOTIF – CHESTNUT/BONNIE/GIRL

Body

Make one, using colour (A) yarn make a mc.

Round 1

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 10 hdc into mc, ss into 1st st (10 hdc).

Round 2

*2 Hdc into 1st st*, rep *.* 9 more times, ss into 1st st, cut yarn and weave in ends (20 hdc).

Round 3

*2 Hdc into 1st st, hdc into next st*, rep *.* 9 more times, ss into 1st st, cut yarn and weave in ends (30 hdc).

Helpful hint: change to colour (C) yarn, joining in any stitch.

Round 4

*2 Sc into st, sc into next 2 sts*, rep *.* 9 more times, ss into 1st st (40 sc).

Round 5

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), sc into same sp, *sk next st, 5 dc shell into next st, sk st, sc into next st*, rep *.* 8 more times, sk next st, 5 dc shell into next st, ss into 1st st, cut yarn leaving a long tail to use to attach the motif to the body in Part 6 (10 sc, 10 x 5 dc shell).

Eyes

Make two, using colour (A) yarn make a mc.

Round 1

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 6 sc into mc, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, weave in ends (6 sc).

Helpful hint: change to colour (C) yarn, joining in any stitch.

Round 2

Ch 1 (does not count as a st), 2 sc into same sp, sc into next st, 2 sc into next st*, rep *.*4 more times, sc into next st, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, leaving a long tail to use to attach the eyes to the body AND to make a French Knot for the fleck in the eye.

Ears

Make two, using colour (A) yarn make a mc.

Round 1

Ch 1 (does not count as st), [2 sc, 2 hdc, 3 dc, 2 hdc, 2 sc] into mc, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, leaving a long tail to use to attach the ears to the head of the sheep motif in Part 6 (4 sc, 4 hdc, 3 dc).

Legs

Make two, using colour (A) yarn make a mc.

Round 1

Ch 1 (does not count as st), [sc, 5 hdc, sc] into mc, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, leaving a long tail to use to attach the legs to the body of the sheep motif in Part 6 (2 sc, 5 hdc).

Large Tyre

Make one, using colour (G) yarn make a mc.

Round 1
