Tutti Frutti Border Part 2

Spread the love

TUTTI FRUTTI BORDER PART

The Tutti Frutti Border Part 2 is part of my Mystery Make Along.

Join me in the magical, surprise crochet journey of a mystery make along (MMAL) which is a similar to a crochet along (CAL).  The difference is that you do not know what the end project will look like.  The Tutti Frutti Baby Blanket is made up of small, fun to make squares, that will then be joined together and with a border added. Tutti Frutti Border Part 2 is the final section of the border.

“Share the art within you with the ones you love…”

PLEASE NOTE:

I have had to change my main colour from green to blue because I am not able to purchase more of the green yarn due to my county being in lock down and so I am using up what I have in my stash.  You can continue using the same colours or you can add colours.

Helpful hint: a back post slip stitch is the same as all other back post stitches, but instead of making a stitch you just pull the yarn through to finish off the slip stitch – if you prefer you can make a back post single crochet, it will not make too much of a difference to the end pattern, I just prefer the back post slip stitch as it is less visible.

Using colour (B) yarn join in any corner making your first stitch around the 1st exdc at the beginning of the 9 exdc shell.

*[bphdc around 9 sts], bpss around next 2 sts, bpss around both posts of next 2 sts, **bphdc around next 9 sts, bpss around both posts of next 2 sts **, rep **.** 14 more times, bpss around both posts of next 2 sts, bpss around next 2 sts, rep *.* 3 more times, cut yarn, weave in ends.

Stitch count: 135 bphdc, 20 bpss

Corner count: 9 bphdc

And you are done – your beautiful Tutti Frutti Baby Blanket is finished – I hope you enjoyed making it as much as I enjoyed designing it.
