In my pattern I want ask for a 5 double crochet picot leaf – made up as follows: *sc, dc 5, picot, dc 5, sc* into the chain space. This makes one leaf. So start with a sc into the chain space.

Make 5 double crochet stitches into the same chain space.

Chain 3 – this is the start of the picot.

Slip stitch into the top of the last double crochet – I use the two top loops of the double crochet stitch.

Pull your loop through, finishing the 3 chain picot stitch.

Made another 5 double crochet stitches into same chain space.

This is what the picot leaf looks like, and this gorgeous antique rose is the center piece to my cushion – Lyn’s Rose Garden, so look out for the pattern, as it is gorgeous!

This is what it looks like from the back.

And your picot leaf is done – It is a gorgeous leaf, and would look nice as an edging to a blanket.
