PART 4 – BOY

Helpful hint: chain 1 does not count as a stitch.

Round 1:              ch 1, dc 10 into mc, ss into 1st dc (10 dc)

Round 2:              ch 1, dc 2 into same st, make 2 dc into each st, ss into 1st dc (20 dc)

Round 3:              ch 1, dc into same st, dc into next 19 sts, ss into 1st dc (20 dc)

Round 4:              repeat round 3 (20 dc), cut yarn, nj, weave in ends

Round 5:              (work in the blo for this round only) sc into next 20 sts (20 sc)

PART 4 – GIRL

SHOE

Not stuffed

Helpful hint: chain 1 does not count as a stitch.

Using colour (B) make a mc

Round 1:              ch 1, dc 10 into mc, ss into 1st dc (10 dc)

Round 2:              ch 1, dc 2 into same st, make 2 dc into each st, ss into 1st dc (20 dc)

Round 3:              ch 1, dc into same st, dc into next 19 sts, ss into 1st dc (20 dc)

Helpful hint: the only stitches worked into the back loop only in round 4 are the 8 dc’s in the bunny “skin” colour, and weave the yarn you are not using in with the stitches, so that you have it when you need to make a colour change.

Round 4:              ch 1, dc into same st, dc into next 5 sts, change to colour (A) and dc into next 8 sts blo, change to colour (B), and dc into next 6 sts, ss into 1st dc, leave a long tail of colour (B) to make the strap later (surface crochet).

LEG

Not stuffed

Using colour (A) complete the leg, join yarn into the 1st dc from the previous round using a slip stitch

Helpful hint: for the next row, only first 6 sts and last 6 sts are worked into the back loop only, the middle 8 stitches are worked as normal – we are now working in the round, so use your stitch marker to keep track of your rows.

Round 5:              ch 1, sc into blo same st, sc into blo of next 5 sts, sc into the next 8 sts (NORMALLY), sc into the blo of next 6 sts (20 sc)

Round 6:              sc into next 20 sts (20 sc)

Round 7-13:       repeat round 6

Detail on shoe – girl

Using the long tail from the shoe, surface chain a strap between row 6 and 7 (between sc’s) from one side of the shoe to the other, weave in ends.

Helpful hint: pull yarn to the inside – this is a bit tricky, but take your time, it will look super cute when you are finished – reminds me of ballet shoes, if you are not sure how to surface crochet have a look at my Surface Crochet Photo Tutorial
