Size: hand mitt fits an average adult female, the soap saver fits a 150g bar of soap, the facecloth, pouf and face scrubbies are standard size.

Skill: Easy to Intermediate – stitches will range from easy to slightly more advanced – but I have links to photo tutorials in the pattern if you need help.

What you will crochet: A beautiful spa set, which you can gift, or make for yourself, The pattern includes instructions for a right and a left hand mitt.

MATERIALS USED

  • 4 x 50g Sangria/Taupe MoYa DK 100% cotton (MC)
  • 1 x 50g Geisha/Natural MoYa DK 100% cotton (CC)
  • 3.5mm or G hook (if you work loosely, use a smaller hook)
  • Sewing needle
  • Scissors

MoYa Yarns are hand dyed and should be washed separately as there may be slight residual surface dye. Machine washable. Dry flat. Do not bleach. Made in South Africa.

You are welcome to make the pattern in any yarn however depending on the yarn and your tension the size of the finished item may vary from mine.

PART 2 Puff Stitch Scrubbie

I used approximately 10 g for each puff stitch face scrubbie – Use hook suitable to your yarn choice

Using the CC make a magic circle

Round 1: ch 1, *make a puff st (refer to special stitches), ch 1*, rep *.*, ss into closing ch at the top of 1st puff st (6 puff, 6 ch sps)

Round 2: ss into ch 1 sp after 1st puff st, ch 1, *make puff st, ch 1, make puff st into next ch 1 sp*, rep *.*, ss into closing ch at the top of the 1st puff st (12 puff, 12 ch sps)

Round 3: ss into ch 1 sp after 1st puff st, ch 1,*make puff st, ch 1, make puff st, ch 1 into 1st ch 1 sp, make puff, ch 1 into next ch 1 sp*, rep *.*, ss into closing ch at the top of the 1st puff st (18 puff, 18 ch sps)

Round 4: ss into ch 1 sp after 1st puff st, ch 1, 2 sc into ch 1 sp, sc into closing ch at top of puff, 2 sc into ch 1 sp, rep*.*, ss into 1st sc (56)

Helpful hint: change to MC for the border (round 5) if you would like a nice contrast, otherwise just continue with the CC

Round 5: ch 1, use backwards sc or crab stitch around scrubbie, ss into 1st st, cut yarn, nj, weave in ends (56)
