PATTERN

PART 1 –  Deluxe Bath Gift Set Crochet Facecloth

I used approximately 60g of MC, and 5g of CC – Use hook suitable to your yarn choice to make my crochet facecloth

Using MC chain 51

Row 1: hdc into 2nd ch from hook, hdc 49 into remaining ch, ch 1, turn (50 hdc)

Helpful hint: ch 1 does NOT count as a stitch, just makes the edges even

Row 2: hdc into first st, hdc 49, ch 1 turn (50 hdc)

Row 3 – 35: repeat row 2

Helpful hint: When you single crochet into the side half double crochet rows, add 3 single crochet evenly across two half double crochet rows, to get an even edge)

First part of your face cloth is done!

Border

Round 1: ch 1, sc into 1st st, ch 1, sc into same st, sc into next 49 sts, (sc, ch 1, sc into corner), sc 50 sts evenly down the side rows, (sc, ch 1, sc into corner), sc into next 49 sts in the bottom row, (sc, ch 1, sc into corner), sc 50 sts evenly down the side rows, (sc, ch1 into corner), ss into 1st sc, cut yarn, weave in ends

Change to CC

Round 2: begin in the corner in any ch 1 sp, use a ss, ch 1, or start with a standing (sc, ch 2, sc) into same ch 1 sp, sc into next sts until the next corner, then (sc, ch 2, sc into the corner), rep until you reach the 1st corner, then ss into ch 1

Round 3: ch 1, crab st to the next corner, 2 crab st into the corner

Flower Motif

Flower centre

Helpful hint: chain 1 does not count as a stitch in each round

Using MC make a magic circle

Round 1: ch 1, 10 hdc into mc, ss into 1st hdc (10)

Round 2: ch 1, 2 hdc into same st, hdc 2 into next 9 sts, ss into 1st hdc (20), cut yarn, join with a nj,

leave long tail to attach the motif

Helpful hint: I leave a very long tail in MC, then i stitch the petals to the facecloth, and then put the centre on top, using the MC tail to slip stitch the motive to the facecloth

Petals (make 5)

Using CC ch 9

Round 1: sc into 2nd ch, sc into next 7 ch, make 3 sc into last ch, turn work slightly and sc into next 7 ch

Round 2: ch 1, turn work and work into the back of the previous row. sc into the next 4 sts, hdc into the next 4 sts, make 5 dc’s into the next (top) sc, hdc into the next 4 sts, sc into the next 4 sts, cut yarn, weave in ends

Heart Motif

Using CC, make a magic circle

Helpful hint: chain 1 does not count as a stitch in each round

Round 1: ch 1, sc 12 into mc, ss into 1st ch (12)

Round 2: ch 3, dc into same st, 3 dc’s into next st, (hdc and sc) into the next st, sc into next 2 sts, (sc, hdc, sc) into next st (bottom of the heart), sc into next 2 sts, (sc and hdc) into next st, 3 dc’s into next st, dc into next st, ch 3 and ss into the base of the last dc, cut yarn leaving a long tail to fasten the motif
